Important Rules

WELCOME TO THE MEGAMAN ROLEPLAY UNIVERSE

Our mission is to create a friendly Megaman roleplay for everyone who love the Megaman series. Everyone is welcome here!

Here are the rules for the Roleplayers, in no specific order of course. It's not ridiculously long and never boring, but straight to the point in keeping the community safe. Applications must be noted to the Megaman Roleplay account for us to look at.

All Apps are to be sent through notes titled: "Character App [Name of character here]:"

1. Characters able to be RPed must first be authorized by the Mods/Admins of the RP group.
-Character name:
-Why you want to RP them:
-Do you think you can RP them correctly (this means playing them IN CHARACTER):
-Write a paragraph (preferably 4 or five sentences, but no more than two paragraphs) displaying your writing and RPing skills:
-Can you check your account ACTIVELY? (yes or no is all that's needed):
-Any questions about your character? (ex: There's a Grey already in the RP and I want to be Ashe, do we both have the Model A?)
-Lastly, and most importantly, do you agree with the rules? Failure to agree with the rules will lead to a warning, and if rule breaking continues you can be suspended from the RP for a number of days/weeks, or kicked all together. Depending on the amount of rules broken you may be allowed to reapply as another character if kicked from an old one, after a certain time.

With OCs it's different. The appearances, back story, as well as powers/weapons etc. are REQUIRED in order to be considered for an OC character. We reserve the right to reject characters should their set of powers or general appearance have the potential to cause problems. For example, If the OC has vulgar features or anything offensive, as well as abilities considered to be godmodding (see below for more detail) the RPer will be required to make changes to their character. The OC Bio should be located on the profile of said OC, preferably in the DeviantID section of all accounts so everyone knows where to look to find out about characters. Below is the application that needs to be filled out for OC characters:
-Character name:
-What game series (time wise) is he/she from?
-What powers does he/she have (i.e. is he a Mega Man, Net Navi, Reploid, etc.)?
-Bio (backstory):
-A paragraph with your OC doing something. We'd prefer action AND talking, just so we know you can Roleplay and describe both well enough to make it in this RP. This is required for all people wanting to apply for an OC, not just people wanting to apply for their first character.
-Do you have any questions about things your character can/cannot know? Keep in mind that OC characters can NOT have any relation to Cannon characters in form of Brother, Sister, secret crush, etc. They can, however, have met them one point in time, just not interacted with them majorly. (I.e. My OC Theo could have met Vent walking through the store one day, but he couldn't be in love with Aile, or Ashe)
-Like the Cannon roles, we ask that you agree to our rules. ? Failure to agree with the rules will lead to a warning, and if rule breaking continues you can be suspended from the RP for a number of days/weeks, or kicked all together. Depending on the amount of rules broken you may be allowed to reapply as another character if kicked from an old one, however. If you're kicked form an OC because of breaking rules, you will NOT be allowed to reapply as an OC.

2. Users can have up to four characters (this includes OCs) in this RP. This rule is subject to change as the group grows.

3. All disputes over control of a character (for example a character made by more than one user or a non-major character) will be evaluated and decided by a moderator. Once the decision is made it must be complied with. These decisions can only be overridden by an administrator or a majority of the moderators. Failure to comply with the decision will result in a warning for all involved, as well as the removal of the character(s) causing the problem(s).

4. Killing off other people's characters is a big NO. Attemtping to do such will result in a warning, and if not complied with, a temporary ban. We take Roleplaying very serious here and disapprove of all forms of God Moding (mentioned further below). Always ask if it's alright to kill off another's character, and don't be upset if he/she says no.

5. If your character(s) are deemed inactive you'll be placed on a list for inactive users. You'll have exactly one (1) week to comment on the HQ page stating that you'll be active again, or agree to give up the account. If you do not post on the HQ page after the week, your account will be up for grabs once again, and will NOT be returned to you if someone else applies for him/her while you weren't a part of the RP, or you can reapply for the character (keep in mind that the application will be assessed more seriously, as it will be likely to not be accepted if it is mediocre in detail and IC monologue). If you post on the HQ but then go inactive again, your account may skip the inactive list and just be kicked from the RP at a Mods/Admins decision. Please note, however, that if you RP more than one account, if one of your accounts is active and the others are not, you're account will NOT be put on the inactive list.

6. In addition to the previous rule all disputes over "godmodding" or any other form of overpowered characters will be decided by a moderator or administrator. Once decided all affected posts will be considered void and will be subsequently hidden from view. The RP will then continue from the last valid post. See this article about Godmodding for further questions on God Moding and what is/is not it. Please keep in mind that the list is updated and changed every now and then.

7. The RPs that take place here on dA will be subjected to, along with our Rules, the rules of dA. If we happen to open up a chatroom somewhere, you must also apply with their ToS as well as our rules. Please note that if breaking any of the rules at any time results in a warning at first, and then can be subject to suspension and/or removal from the RP.

8. Keep characters in character so characters shouldn't be building nuclear weapons if they're as smart as a rock (Gutsman for example). We understand that here in the RP characters can and will change because they will interact with other characters here. This in mind we allow some room for leeway on what is "in character" and what is not. Not being in character will result in a warning from a mod/Admin.

9. No harassing or trolling other Rpers in any way. Treat others with respect if they happen to brb during a fight, or have a lagging internet connection, or if they do not roleplay as well as some others would. Some might have better skill or less lag, and vise versa. Members of the RP are not allowed to treat others with disrespect at any point.

10. If you need upgrades for your character or drones, or anything additional for your character, express it Note it to the HQ account. If the mods approve on it, you'll be allowed to go through with it (with reason, see below). Failure to accept rejection of the decision will result in a temporary ban of the character breaking the rule. Also, it is wise to keep in mind that if you have a character like Gutsman, you can't give yourself a flame thrower. We draw the line at him being able to repair himself should he be in a fight and take damage as he would know his own system and therefore be able to repair himself. All upgrades MUST be done by an approved "up grader," which is a character in the RP who's been deemed able to perform upgrades on characters. Keep in mind, that no one "up grader" has the right to upgrade ALL characters. So Mr. Famous cannot repair a reploid or robot master and Dr. Light (Megaman Classic version) cannot repair a Net Navi. Please keep in mind that we have a chain here. You can work your way down the time stream in terms of upgrades, but you cannot work your way up WITHOUT approval from the mods/admins. This just means that someone from ZXA can work on reploids from Megaman Zero time, as well as X time reploids.

11. In order to avoid dull times in the RP we allow the submission of Plot ideas. Plots must be accepted by Mods before you can make any reference to them in character. Please keep in mind that you can NOT force other Role Players to make their characters be a part of your plot. Also keep in mind that under no circumstance is a plot to be used to make your character a god. There will be no godmoding in any plots and failure to refrain from godmoding can result in your plot being terminated.
- Keep in mind that you cannot force other people to join your plot, you must ask them beforehand and if they refuse, you must accept that and find someone else to join.
- Plots must be submitted to the Megaman Roleplay for moderators to assess and accept. The note should be titled: "Plot: [Plot name]"
- Along with the above rules on plots, you must have been a member of the group for at least a week.


1: Name of Plot
2: Characters for the Plot (Both made in the RP and OC's specifically made for the RP)
3: Details of the plot. Keep in mind that you must include events that would drastically affect the psyche or ability of any character or group of characters.
4: Do you agree with the Rules and Plot Rules?
5: Can your plot be used at the end to build off of another person's plot? (IE. Zelpha Corp taking down Andromeda's army thus ending Andromeda's Plot.)

12. RP content must be kept so that it is appropriate for all users. Posts with excessive gore and/or profanity, sexual content, and/or racial hatred/bigotry will be subject to punishment including removal from the chatroom (should we get one) and possibly expulsion from the group (duration will depend on administrator review). In other words, keep it PG-13.

13.In order to keep the peace better, we'll have a "board of review" so to speak. There job is simply to keep the whole "Oh, the Admin's did this to me because they hate me," thing out of the RP. Whenever there is a dispute between a Role Player and an Admin and the Role player wishes to challenge the Admin's call, they may request a hearing with the board. They have the right to overturn a decision made by an Admin during an RP. However, if the board rules in favor of the Admin, the final say has been said and there is nothing else to do but to suck it up and deal with it. The board will consist of three members, each chosen on the first Friday of the month.

14. ANY breaking of the rules, either ours or dA's ToS (or another site should we move, or get a chatroom) will result in one warning. A max of two warnings are required before you are given a temporary ban, unless the second broken rule comes from breaking a ToS. Depending on the severity of the ToS violation you may be subject to auto-suspension for a number of days/weeks depending on the Mods/Admins, and if your account is not banned by the webmasters of the site who's ToS you broke.
